Itinerary for Cambridge

I have a couple of days coming up visiting Cambridge with a friend. I’ve never been before and left planning until the last minute so I’m wondering if some kind souls might be able to recommend a bit of an itinerary for a couple of days based on the highlights of Cambridge and where these places are in relation to each other? TIA.

Book a guided walk on the first day. Then you can return to areas of interest to explore further.

In the centre, I’d go punting (try Scudamores), take a picnic/bottle of bubbly with you, visit some museums and do a tour of one of the university sites. If the weather is good, a stroll down the backs, hire some bikes and visit Granchester (15min cycle) and have a drink at the Orchard Tea Garden. Lots of lovely pubs, by the river you have The Mill and Fort St George (a few minutes walk from the centre)
