Croatia in May

We’re going to Omis in May (about 40 minutes from split)

11 of us including a 11 year old and 3 x 6 year olds.

rest are parents, grandparents and aunt/uncle

any suggestions what is not to be missed? My DH, BIL & SIL will probably love the white water rapids. I know there are loads to see and do but would love to hear real life experiences of what you loved

TIA

The peacock island off Dubrovnik is so lovely! You go on a ten minute boat ride and the peacocks are just roaming around. There are cafes and a restaurant and a small museum too.

We spent 4 nights in Omis, 2 years ago and had a great time. We did the white water rafting, the zip lines and canyoning. Booked it all through ‘Get your guide’ but loads of places to book excursions around town. I would say the canyoning would be too difficult for the 6yr olds.
We ate at Restaurants Pod Odrnom twice which was delicious. The bus goes straight through Omis too which is really easy and goes along the coastline.

Loved Omis two years ago! Really easy place for a multigenerational trip.

Nice little town with lots of restaurants all serving fairly similar food, either Italian or Croatian. a great ice cream shop on the main drag (can’t remember the name which isn’t helpful!). We did the ziplining which was fun and my brother enjoyed a rafting day (his gf would beg to differ). We also drove to Split for the day to mix it up and had a great lunch. There are a few walks, I recommend the Mirabella and Starigrad fortress, the latter of which is definitely more of a hike if you’re up for it. We also hired a boat for the day on the river, highly recommend, there are a few companies who do it.

Would definitely go back to Omis - nice easy holiday!
