I'm looking for ideas where to go in Thailand in December solo. I have been to Asia a good bit and Thailand once 10 years ago. Looking to stay in nicer hotels but I know it is a lot cheaper over there than UK so basically nice hotels on a bit of a budget! Probably max £1000 for 2 weeks accommodation. I don't want to travel loads, I want some really nice food, some stuff to do and a good place to relax at. Where would you recommend? I'll stay a few nights in Bangkok as I'll fly in and out there but just not sure what resort to head to. Was thinking about krabi, maybe Ao Nang but not sure. I know everywhere in Thailand is pretty touristy but I'm looking for somewhere that's not too overrun and easy to get to from BKK.
