Legoland Fast Passes - Rip off or a Must

Good Morning Mumsnetters,

So next Saturday 8th March. I'm taking my 9 year old to Legoland for a birthday treat. We've never been before. Are Saturday's in March busy?

I've looked at all the helpful previous mumsnet tips eg booked a hotel offsite, bringing a packed lunch, looking at the app wait times for rides and starting the day at the far end of the park.

The only thing I'm wondering is if it is worth buying an Ultimate, Express, Regular Reserve and Ride and/or a One Shot Bundle? We really want to go on Flight of the Sky Lion, HD Coastguard, The Dragon and Haunted House. We will focus on these in the morning. After lunch we will head to miniland.

Also if anyone knows if the 702/703 green bus (National Express) to Heathrow is easy to find at Legolands main entrance when we leave at the end of the day that would be really helpful.

Any other tips greatly appreciated.

TIA

Flight of the sky lion is amazing. That's all I've got to contribute. Yous will have an amazing time

Thank you for your reply that's the first ride that we will be aiming for.

Saturday 8th March isn't a normal opening day for Legoland. The full season hasn't started yet.

I do know the park is open but for a special event which is already sold out. Do you qualify for the special event and already have your tickets?

Because if not, you're not going to get in.

We’ve been mid summer (so super busy). Haunted house only ever had short queues. Found a lot of the younger kids rides had the longest queues (like the firehouse). Flight of sky lion we waited a good while too. The app is pretty good to have and you can just whip round rides with shorter queues. If it were me, I’d buy a bundle and focus on a few key rides (you always get distracted looking round!) Not sure why but both times we went coastguard HQ was closed. There are also shows which are pretty good….

We went in late July a long time ago, we didn't do fast passes, instead we went for a second consecutive day and that way got around all the rides, some for a second time. Not sure if that is an option if you have a plane to catch. I think in March you would get on more rides in a single day anyway. Bus stops are to the right when you come out of the main entrance.

Thank you TeamGeriatric about where the buses are. We won't be able to go on a second day but will be there at the crack of dawn to go on as many rides as we can before lunch.
