Tips for Flying with an 18 month old?

Hey,

At the end of June I'll be flying to Menorca with my almost 19 month old and I'm terrified, I've never flown with a toddler so it's definitely going to be a wild experience, does anyone have any advice from the airport, checking in, security, things to do on the plane, any suggestions on what may make this trip a little easier would be greatly appreciated! From one very overthinking and stressed mama ❤️

Hey! I totally get your nerves—flying with a toddler can feel overwhelming, but with a little prep, it can go a lot smoother than you think!
A few tips:
✈️ At the airport – Arrive early, use a baby carrier for easy movement, and have snacks and a sippy cup ready for takeoff/landing to help with ear pressure.
🧳 Security & Check-in – If you can, check in online to minimize waiting. Most airports let families with young kids go through priority security lanes.
🎒 On the plane – Bring small, mess-free activities like reusable sticker books, water-reveal coloring books, and simple fidget toys. Snacks are a lifesaver, and if you allow screen time, downloading a few favorite shows can be a game changer.
If you're looking for engaging travel-friendly toys, I recently found some great recommendations on this Sensory Activity Board. It has a roundup of interactive toys designed to keep little ones entertained and engaged.
You've got this, mama! ❤️ Wishing you a smooth and stress-free flight! 🚀
