Taking the boys away for their first holiday abroad, looking for recommendations, somewhere warm, beach and activities in October. TIA

When in October? If it's half-term then many Mediterranean places start to close down from the 20th or so, and while it will be warm (25-ish), it won't be hot — and the pools can be downright chilly. The Canaries are probably going to be your best bet.

I second Turkey! Antalya area is beautiful.

We've done 2 October half term holidays in the Fethiye area which have been beautiful and looking at Side for this October.
