Which good hotel London

I'm due to be saying in London for a work event in April. I have two young children and never get away alone so I'm choosing this opportunity to treat myself. My budget is £250 max for one night, I know this is a lot but I've never done it before! I want it to be worth it.
Worried about booking something and it being sub par. I'd love a spa too but not essential. I just want to be able to relax in a beautiful bed and order room service!
I've looked at Nobu, it looks plush but mixed reviews and the spa is mega money.....

Which area of London would you prefer, roughly @Cherrysherbertz?

NeverMind11 · 25/01/2025 21:29

Check out the Bloomsbury (their own Doyle Collection site) they have an offer in April if you sign up as a member and look at all the rates. You can get a cosy room for around that with breakfast. I’ve stayed before and am going back myself soon. It’s really lovely, feels safe and the staff are great.

I adore this place www.inhabithotels.com ~ I live fairly close by but as a parent if I'm in desperate need of a staycation in ticks all the boxes! I've only stayed at the Southwick Street location, but looks like Queens Garden has a spa.

£250 is actually a fairly low budget for a hotel in London. What date are you looking at?

Doggymummar · 25/01/2025 21:35

That might only get a Premier Inn even though it's a fair whack. Depends what's on, I like the Ned

Tallblacktrees · 25/01/2025 21:38

Yeah, unfortunately £250 isn't much for London. I like the area around St Paul's but it depends where you need to be during the day.

Wowzel · 25/01/2025 21:38

I was going to suggest Sea Containers but it is too expensive

I've stayed at Leonardo St Paul's which was very nice and I went in the pool and spa

Ilovemyshed · 25/01/2025 21:40

The Montcalm at Finsbury Square isn't bad and also the Apex hotels are worth a look.

Cherrysherbertz · 25/01/2025 21:43

Ok ok I realise it isn't a bi budget but it feels big to send on just me 😄
I keep thinking what else I could/should spend the money on.
I'll look up the recommendations. Thanks for the tips!
Nobu looks quite high end though for that price?

That budget is healthy enough, dependent on your dates and the area @Cherrysherbertz

Relax and enjoy! 😊

TeaForTwelve · 25/01/2025 21:53

How about Park Plaza Waterloo? Has a nice pool and is in budget.

Premier inn have rooms in london for under £100 at the moment so I'm sure you can do better than that! Enjoy your night away!

ObliviousCoalmine · 25/01/2025 22:09

For the money - Hoxton. There's a few.

Bjorkdidit · 25/01/2025 22:23

Think about where you need to be, I assume it's a conference or similar. It will spoil the relaxation element if you need to spend close to an hour each way on the tube at rush hour.

Clermont Victoria, right next to Victoria station
