Ryan air-how to add one bigger cabin bag?!

I'm trying to book fights on Ryanair and can't find a way to book the value pack for one person (with just a small under the seat bag) and the regular (including one 10kg cabin bag) for the second person?! It seems to either be you book two or none!

Am I missing a trick here?!

I gave up last time and did two separate bookings.

@Shinyandnew1 I select value fare for both passengers and the after you add names you can add extras - like upgrade to priority or pay for luggage to be checked in and you can do this for each individual passenger

Add it after you've booked, I've added priority boarding for one out of a party of 5 after it was all booked

Ah, right-thank you! Is it not more expensive to add things after you've placed the booking? I always thought it was on EasyJet (but haven't booked with Ryanair before)?

It ended up cheaper for me because I didn't really want the extra added seat selection

You need to select the basic fare, then skip seat selection, and on the 3rd screen you will find the bag options. There is a “add this for all passengers” box or similar which you should probably untick. Then just add the amount of bags that you need in the name of one of the passengers only.

I couldn’t figure this out either, so had to make 2 separate bookings

CosyPinkZebra · 25/01/2025 08:43

There’s an option to add a large cabin bag once you’ve entered your name and start clicking through.

Caspianberg · 25/01/2025 08:46

You do it before booking. You choose basic fare for both passengers, then about 3 page son you can add extra bags. I always do this.
Basic for 3 people, then add 1 extra hand luggage and 1 checked in bag. It’s always cheaper than adding cabin and checked for everyone when we don’t need it
