Sept holiday abroad 50th B'day *never been*

Hi. The two of us are looking for a beach holiday abroad (somewhere warm), Sept/Oct, to celebrate a 'young at heart 50th'.
Any suggestions & advice would be great please, as we have never even been abroad from the UK.
Clear sea & clean sand a preference.
Destination,Booking company,Airline, ...tips and hints please..?

Rhodes. We went in late sept last year and it was 27/30 degrees every day. We stayed in Fakiraki which is avoid in high season but in late sept it was ideal as plenty still open but the party crowd was long gone.
Plenty of nice restaurants and cocktail bars with music that stay open til the early hours. We’re in our 50’s and we had a great time.

Majorca, 3rd/4th week of September (after the full-on summer heat but still warm enough that you can eat outdoors in the evenings). Look at Alcudia, Palma Nova, or Cala d'Or to have plenty of choice of nightlife. If you want a bit more genteel then Puerto Pollensa or Puerto Soller.
