Anyone been to Sandals?

Planning a week away in December for our 20th wedding anniversary.

Somewhere warm.

Sandals look fantastic but I think we'd prefer the me of the smaller hotels.
That said, if it's all couples (?) there can be be that much rowdiness!

Any recommendations/tips etc gladly welcomed.

Tia

We went on honeymoon 10+ years ago - we did Montegro Bay in Jamaica. It was beautiful and the service etc was great. Lots of other couples on honeymoon, with the majority of guests being from the US. Nothing too rowdy, but there were theme nights eg White Party that did include live music etc.

I'd use them again but maybe not the same hotel - it wasn't safe for us to leave the resort and there were frequently locals on small boats trying to approach the private beaches to sell drugs etc (!) Security moved them on but it did make me feel uneasy as we had a ground floor apartment right on the beach front and it was incredibly dark at night. There were also ginormous peacocks that pecked at the French windows - which sounded at 3am like someone trying to break in...!

We have been to Grenada and the Bahamas. They are nice resorts but have got very expensive and service is not as good as it used to be.Grenada is quite a small resort with a cove beach, it was not rowdy but sandals do at lot of weddings so you can get large groups.

I’ve been to Sandals Grenada too, pre Covid. It was a lovely resort, nice staff and good food and drinks, and very chilled when we went which was in January. But to be honest I did find it a bit boring at night, the entertainment was crap and there was not really any atmosphere. It was mainly Americans and they seemed to go to bed early! I also find the whole butler service a bit cringe.
