We are planning to go to Japan later this year. Has anyone booked with a travel agent? We would prefer a self-guided tour but don't really know where to start.

We’re onto our third trip to Japan now but have never used an agent, so can’t offer much advice there. Self-organising is really easy in Japan so I wouldn’t be scared to just book things yourself. It’s a very easy place to travel around.

Joining as going to Japan as a first timer in June!

Going for 10 days - 4.5 days in Kyoto, 5.5 days in Tokyo. Planning on day trips to from Tokyo, also possible Disney.

Any advice or suggestions?
