Hi everyone
i’m starting to look at 3/4 nights in new york next year, end of November/early december so we can see it christmassy. There will be 2 adults and a 10.5 year old. We will be travelling from Manchester.
i have been to NYC before but it was about 15/17 years ago so my parents sorted it all out and i didn’t take much notice 🤦🏻‍♀️. Please can anyone share any tips or pointers about best time to fly with the jet lag and any recommendations to stay? We will want to be as central as possible i think. Don’t really know what i’m asking tbh but just grateful for any advice from anyone who has been before. Thank you ☺️

The jet lag is not so bad, and TBH we made it work for us a bit - up and ready nice and early each morning meant that we beat the queues at all the busier attractions.

Flights from Manchester aren’t the greatest, both in the afternoon so you miss a lot of the day. I think Virgin Atlantic (VS127) is 1345 and the Aer Lingus one later. We always go on the 0915 out of LHR, even though we live less than 30 miles from Manchester.

We like the Park Central hotel, near Central Park, 10 minute walk to Times Square and subway station right outside.
