Easter hols warm, coastal, good for revision

DS has GCSEs this summer but I’m thinking of booking us a nice villa somewhere warm one week of the Easter hols. He revises well away from home and distractions and has said being in the sunshine would be good.

any ideas? I have a dream of a Moroccan coastal villa but I know April can still be a bit brisk. Would prefer max 3 hours flying and considering Sicily, southern Spain, Croatia? Greece? Hit me with ideas!!

Seville/ Cadiz?

Yes I wondered about Seville actually…

We went to Tenerife in early April 3 years ago, the south was sun-proof during the day. Some cloudy times but I actually burnt as well when it wasn't sunny.

Able to swim in a heated pool.

it's a bit further than you say but I don't think mainland Spain is warm enough yet.
We found also that most villas don't heat their pools.

A bit further than 3 hours, but Egypt’s Red Sea coast is ideal at that time.

Crete, paphos in Cyprus Rhodes

Sicily, southern Spain, Croatia? Greece?

All of those places are north of Morocco... but you should be OK around Easter (20 April) in any of them (or indeed Morocco). It will be pleasantly warm, but not scorchio, and you will need long sleeves for the evenings. Pools and the sea will still be "bracing" but you will be able to have most of your meals out of doors.

If you want 100% guaranteed "lie and fry" weather than you're going to have to go the extra hour and a half to the Canaries.

Lanzarote?

I took my youngest DS to Spain to revise for GCSEs to get him away from his friends for a week. It worked well. He revised from 8am until about 1pm with a few 15 mins drinks breaks. He had a late lunch then lounged around the pool in the afternoons then consolidated his morning learning in the evenings.
