Has anyone been to to Albufeira in late January? Wondering what to expect weather wise. Was so desperate to have some time away, new scenery and some change from UK scenery. Just wondering what to expect re weather. I know it will be warmer than UK but not hot.. can anyone else add their experiences ? Also will be going with LOs :)

Me! It was pretty chilly and quite overcast / rainy. When the sun was out, it was like a pleasant early spring day in the UK. Didn't have LO so can't help there. Restaurants were busy enough to have atmosphere, bars less so!

I went in February once and it was cold but there were plenty of elderly Germans who spend the winter there who were very tanned. I assume it had been sunny at some point.

Why Algarve?
If you went another couple of hours further south to the Canaries you would find warm, sunny weather. Not blazing hot but pleasant.
