Which cruise line?

Which cruise line would suit a group of adults 50s/early 60s wanting to do an eastern med cruise? Will have no kids and would travel outside of school holidays.

We want decent entertainment on board, good food (I've been on bargain bucket cruises and not had bad food tho, to be fair) and good value for money (some are on a bit of a budget)

Ones I've tried include carnival (great food etc but mega busy) Thomson (cheap but decent value) ocean village back in the day (loved it) Disney (not suitable for an adult only cruise)

Any recommendations?

I loved Celebrity Apex. Beautiful ship, excellent entertainment, good food in the main restaurants and even better in the speciality restaurants (for an upcharge of course!).
We had the classic drink package and never had to pay any additional charges. There was a decent range of wine, beer, cider and cocktails available within the price limit.
All the staff that we encountered really went above and beyond, wouldn't hesitate to sail with them again!

💯% Celebrity.

NCL if you don’t mind a bit more cheap and cheerful.

If you're on a budget, I'd say Celebrity is the best of the mid-range cruise lines for the price. You'll get a good cabin, great food and lots of entertainment!
