Any suggestions gratefully received.

Group of women, 50/60 years old. All fully mobile and fit.

We are based in the South East and would only want to travel a few hours each way.

Open to any and all suggestions.

TIA

North Wales is fantastic but perhaps too far?
Shropshire is also a Hidden gem slightly nearer

If you travel by car how about the North Norfolk coast? The stretch from Kings Lynn round to Holkham has lovely beaches with great walks, country houses, pretty villages. Lots to see and do…you’d be able to hire a lovely cottage. Have a great weekend whatever you decide!

New Forest, stay around Brockenhurst.. lovely walks, or you can hire bikes , lots of easy cycling on flat trails ( or even a pony trek for an afternoon) , can get train down to Lymington for cafes and nice independent shops ( maybe go over to Yarmouth IOW for a day?) . Or bus up to Lyndhurst for the same . Also Beaulieu and Bucklers Hard.
Several nice places to eat in Brockenhurst. And you can get there by mainline train.

Id recommend staying at The Cottage Lodge .. they do a fab breakfast!

Another vote for the north Norfolk coast - in particular the area between Hunstanton and Wells. The walking is superb, accommodation cheap in November, and it’s got so many wonderful places to eat. There’s also a bus that runs every hour so you can go on a long walk, have some food somewhere and then get the bus back.
