Hello,

Off to Australia on Monday night with my 18mth dd, just wondering with all the 100ml liquid rules, does anyone know if you can buy regular cows milk airside? I know they have a Boots and WH Smith. Or will they be able to give me a beaker full on the plane - singapore airlines. I can't remember...

Thanks for help in advance

I don't know about T3 but I got some airside at Stansted in WHSmiths so I reckon you'll probably be ok. I did take a cup of milk through security on the way out too and they treated it as baby milk.

Oh thanks all. Shall take milk through and do the drink test. Plus phone boots. Cheers

Airlines normally have tetra pack milk. Boots will sell all the formula type milks. If there is McDonalds or restaurant air side they would prob be a good bet. We took milk through customs for our daughter and they were fine, as long as you are prepared to taste it.

We flew to Mauritius and as it was such a long flight, decided to get her use to tetra pack stuff a few weeks before.

Take sachets of follow-on formula powder and ask for boiled water on board? SA are fantastic with kids, but they do have some odd ideas about what food/drink is suitable for young children.

If you're checking anything with Boots make sure you stress it's the airside branch you are enquiring about. They have a very limited range compared to the one you can access before check in - can't remember what I was looking for, but it was something I assumed they would have and was told that there is lots of things they don't carry.

I took two bottles of milk with me - 200ml each and just tasted them at security. Boots at Gatwick only stock Cow & Gate milk incidentally.
