Just that really. Does anyone know what the best CP’s villages are on the continent?

Ideally good, clean accommodation and great swimming / activities. Not that bothered which country it’s in as happy to go to any of them.

Other than trawling through Trip Advisor individually by park I’m wondering if anyone can tell me where they’ve been and if they’d recommend it?

Its not a CP but would highly reccomend Duirnell in Holland. Similar holiday park type set up with a theme park on site. Went to CP in Holland a few years ago and didn't like it at all.

I know that dome rave about them and in theory they are cheaper than the UK sites but I don't rate them at all. They don't have 'that' center parcs feel in my opinion. They have no links to the UK villages either- separate companies.

Each to their own though.

Not Center Parcs but Landal resorts, we went to Het Vennebos this May half term and it was great. Around €1000 for 4 nights including the ferry crossings, great tropical pool, accommodation was simple but clean and had everything we need. Close enough to Efteling if you wanted to do that as well. Would definitely go back.

Have been to Het Meerdal and De Kempervennen, found them both to be great. Pools are fab, lodges were clean etc. Activities seemed more varied and lower cost than our experiences in UK. We didn't use any of the restaurants as they just didn't appeal, unlike UK lots of people leave the park for bike rides/meals out etc.

Are you on FB? The Centerparcs Europe just for Brits group has loads of helpful info, photos and reviews.

Het Vennebos is an old CP , that Landal has bought. From what i can gather Landal really dont have much the way of extras on their sites so may be cheaper but you have to pay a lot extra for activities and have to go off site.
Kempervennen is one of best for older DC.
We used to go to CP in europe every year when our DC were younger. They have been to the UK as adults and have begged us to go for a family holiday in Kempervennen again.

Can recommend De Kempervennen in the Netherlands. We had a fantastic holiday there. If you have a car I would definitely do Efteling as well, it’s an easy drive from there.

Bostalsee is the nicest one I've been to, then Kempervennan, Erperheide, Port Zelande, Het Meerdal.

I’ve just been looking at this site! Any thoughts on which accommodation is best- is it worth paying for the premium options?

We stayed in a 3 bedroom comfort at Bostalsee and it was lovely, really spacious with 2 full bathrooms. We had a VIP in Port Zeelande and didn't really think it was worth the extra, it wasn't as nice as the comfort at Bostalsee.

We've done Kempervennen and Het hejderbos. The latter was a carbon copy of Sherwood but with a second dome.
It was a while ago but my feeling was that they had all of the facilities of UK center parcs for lower cost. They were a little shabbier than UK but fine.
My DC loved them as they did the UK ones for the water park, slides and most importantly the rapids.
One thing I really liked better was that there was more going on in the evenings entertainment wise.

We loved Villages nature in Frances and also Boix au daim. We went for the vip cottage in villages nature and was wonderful. Fab facilities at the park. 15 mins to Disney.

MissAmbrosia · 24/04/2025 10:31

Duinrell, De Kempervennen, Eperheide. My favourite Landal parc when dd was small was Hoog Vaals - though that is quite low key, as there was loads to do nearby. Also look at Roompot.com. I really loved the Water Village next to the big Roompot resort in Zeeland. Right next to the beach. Zeeland is gorgeous.

MissAmbrosia · 24/04/2025 10:33

Eperheide is better for small kids. De Kempervennen / Duinrell for older ones/teens. I've been to het Heiderbos, but it doesn't leap out in my mind. CP at De Haan is also nice, facilities more limited but near to town / beach.
