Zante hotel recommendations

Does anyone have any good Zante hotel recommendations? We’ve heard good things & think we’d like to go next year. We did Rhodes this year & really enjoyed it so now want to try another Greek Island.

We are a family of 4…DD’s will be 10 & 7 next August. Ideally don’t want to go all inclusive we’d like a nice little hotel that does bed & breakfast has a pool, near a beach & near to shops & tavernas so we can have a stroll in the evening & eat out.

Thanks 🙂

Marlene hotel in kalamaki in zante was great for us a few years back. Kids were younger, 4 & 7. Good kids pool, near to beach and bars / restaurants, b&b or self catering, short transfer time.

Short easy walk to both the beach and the town. Huge choice of restaurants including a really special one up on the hill looking down over the bay.

Hotel staff were so lovely - table tennis and pool were great for the kids.

Allegedly self catering but hotel restaurant did great breakfast / lunch but it was a menu rather than a buffet.

We also hired a speedboat from the beach which was awesome fun - hotel helped us to do that.

One of our best holidays was at the Phoenix Beach hotel in Tivoli.
Right on the beach, small hotel with big rooms. We did B&B

@Hairyfairy01 when having a quick Look earlier I saw this hotel come up it ticks a lot of boxes. I noticed it’s really close to the airport & the planes literally fly over your head. Did you notice this when you stayed there? Did it bother you?

@FusionChefGeoff thank you looks a lovely hotel & perfect for us but looks as though already sold out on the dates we are looking at going 🙁

@Poffy going to look at this one now - thank you

The planes aren't very frequent, a couple a day, and never at night / early morning. We worried about it as well but to be honest it added to our holiday. The kids loved watching them, especially from the beach (where the first time you see one you swear it will actually land on the beach). Personally I wouldn't let it put you off, zante airport is no Gatwick. There's an all inclusive hotel with a waterpark nearby which we paid to go to for a day, boat trips to spot turtles (they are very big on their turtles), and my 7 year old even went to Athens for the day with his dad. It all felt very safe there. Kids club was great, not sure if they still do it but they used to do a 'chocolate party' where they came back covered in chocolate and popcorn (wear old clothes). It was probably one of my favourite family holidays to be honest.

I know a gem of a hotel OP. To Oniro/The Dream in Tragaki.

It’s a lovely family run hotel, near to a fab beach (Amboula) and some lovely restaurants… Also very easy to get into Tsilivi which is also great.
