Going to be in Stirling this weekend with my 5 year old (we are going to a wedding).

Anybody know Stirling? We have Friday late afternoon and evening and Sat morning to kick around.....

Any thoughts on what we can do?

Many thanks in advance for any tips!

I'm local, where are you staying and I can give you some suggestions. Also will you have a car?

Several options depending on what kind of food you like/want and also do you have a dd or ds?

I'm local too!
I'd recommend the McRobert Arts Centre up at Stirling University for a general runaround and some food. You can also take a walk round the very nice campus, feed the ducks, look at the squirrels and admire the scenery. The open top bus is good (weather permitting), the Castle and Wallace Monument also worth a look.
Good plaes to eat include Corrieris cafe (Italian, great ice cream, child friendly) and the Allan Water Cafe (ditto). Clive Ramsay's cafe and deli in Bridge of Allan also worth a look.

Hope his helps and that you have a great time
