Holiday destination with 1 year old

Hello, I'm looking for holiday destination suggestions please- we'll be travelling end of April with a just turned 1 year old.

On the wishlist is calm water and nice clean beach, (beach front hotel a bonus), all inclusive, safe and family friendly, decent weather. Short haul ideal.

As I'll he turning 30, and LO 1st birthday, we originally discussed Florida/ Disney but after discussing have decided to wait until LO is old enough to enjoy and remember it- my 40th maybe!

Short haul destinations won't be warm enough for the beach in April. Would you consider Dubai?

No true, Canary Islands would be ideal. We went to Lanzarote late March and it was warm enough for the beach and sunbathing- do make sure your hotel has a heated pool though!

Does it have to be April? Short haul will not be beach/pool weather then. I’d delay till June when you can have a lovely holiday in lots of Mediterranean areas.

Bear in mind travelling with a mobile baby is a whole different kettle of fish to travelling with a smaller non mobile baby. I wouldn’t do long haul with a 1 yr old unless I had to.

Ah yes, Canaries would be short-ish haul and would work weather wise. I just dislike them so would delay to June personally but depends on priorities!

We went to Fuerteventura in January and found it warm- we were swimming in the sea. Then again we're redheads to basically vampires 😂😂
