Brussels Xmas market

So after advice on here re Berlin Xmas Markets and my time constraints I have decided to do Brussels this year, via Eurostar.
it will be end of Nov and coming back 1st December, so the beginning of the markets.

Theoretically, how many days do I need? I was thinking go early Friday and return Sunday, is that long enough or too long? I will have children with me, who are teens and 9 years old.

Can any tell me a good area/reasonable hotel to stay in? Or at least an area very near to where I need to be so I’m not trying to navigate trains on top of everything else please??

TIA

That's plenty of time. Novotel or Ibis near the Grand Place (close to Central Station) do family rooms, or Citadines at Ste Catherine overlooks the main market itself. The market is spread over quite a wide area, with ice rink at the Bourse with chalets along Bld Anspach and the main part around Ste Catherine and the Marche aux Poissons. You might have time even to go to Gent as well. That's my favourite Belgian market, but not sure it starts that early.

That's a perfect length of time. You'll be able to see everything. Yooma Urban Lodge is really good for families. The decor wasn’t to my taste, but my dc enjoyed it! It’s really handy for Brussels Midi station. It’s an easy 20 min walk to the central area of the market.

I have booked Jardin Secret, which seems to only be a 5 minute journey from everything!

Its about a 5 min walk to metro / bus and then some, so not particularly near the markets. More like 20 mins I would say. There are some nice shops round there though.
