Does anyone have a Chicco Caddy backcarrier or can recommend a good back carrier?

Hello, ds is almost 9 months. Dh prefered using the Baby Bjorn rather than pushchair when lo was smaller so we would now like a back carrier. We dont go hiking or anything like that, maybe a walk in the woods but thats about it. Its mainly just for normal every day stuff/going into town etc.

I liked the Chicco Caddy as its folds down to make it good to pack/store but my main concern is lo getting wet. I know it comes with a rain hood but what about his legs?? I've seen a few that completely cover lo but they are quite expensive as they are meant more for hiking etc. We dont really want to spend anymore than £100.

What do you all think of back carriers???

The best back carrier imo is a MeiTai - easy to use, fold up really small, so great when they are older and sometimes want to walk and sometimes be carried, and can be bought second hand on the Yahoo BabywearingSwap group for less than 50 quid.

When it rains, I use an umbrella which keeps us both dry.

We very rarely use a pushchair - DS much prefers to be carried, and we find it comfortable too.
