Whale watching in Tromso?

I'm contemplating a whale watching trip with my teens, but one of them is worried about sea sickness. Can anyone tell us how rough the water is at the end of October? (I know it will change according to weather etc..) If you've been, have people been sea sick?

Not particularly recent experience, but I went on a boat trip to see orcas in Tysfjord in Northern Noway, they were quite far into the fjord and it was very calm. You can always take some travel sickness tablets just in case. @
