Questions about Disneyland Paris

Wahey, the trip is booked . Here are my questions from you DLP seasoned travellers....

  1. I do lots of scrapbooking and have seen friends come back from the US versions with lots of Disneyland exclusive albums, stickers, papers etc. Can you get these at DLP?
  1. We have a 5 year old boy who loves Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Cars etc. Is there anything in particular you would recommend/is there anything we should absolutely not miss?
  1. Do any of you have tips on things to try or avoid or go to at certain times?
  1. Anything else that you can recommend would really be most gratefully appreciated.

Thank you so much. We are not telling him until we get there and it is killing me as I am so excited ().

We are going on Wednesday but we also went a couple of years ago.

If you go on the DLP official websit you can download an itinary which tells you where the characters will be at what times for photos etc, and also the times of the parades if you want to line up early.

There is a cars ride in the studios which is next door to the patl and thats where the characters from ratatouille etc are as well.
They also have hows on in there such as stunts from films etc which looked quite good.

I can't remember seeing any scrapbooks but you can buy autograph books atc in the shops and im sure they sell disney photo albums etc.

fifi, do you know if they have itinaries for the Florida too? We are going but only for a week so we want to make the most of it while we are there! Could you tell me how you find them on the DLP site and I may be able to locate them on the DW site!

Sorry for the hijack, I have never heard of this before!

if you go on amazon there are books that tell in great detail ways of getting around, i bought some for my sister and she said they were great.

fifisworld · 20/04/2008 19:08

Cant do links but...

Go onto disneylandpais.co.uk - Click prepare your visit, then smart tips, then click on for disney fans...you can then pick either itineries or meet and greet...hope this helps

Was just there a few weeks ago, didn't see any scrapbooking stuff but you can get some fab stuff on ebay with disney paris papers-I can reccomend a seller if you're interested?

Cafe' Mickey is an absolute must, but you need to book in advance and it is quite expensive but well worth it as the characters(mickey,Minnie,Donald etc) are all there with you and get the dcs up to dance with them, sign autographs etc.

AlisonD1 · 21/04/2008 13:30

Thanks all of you. And yes, ash6605, if you could recommend someone, that would be great. Quite a few people have recommended Cafe Mickey so think I might try and do it. If I give the dh his favourite food and a beer tonight, I'm sure he will say yes .

I'll get back to you later today with the name of the seller I normally use as I'm logging off now but really can't stress enough that you would need to book cafe mickey at the latest the first day you arrive but preferrably before you leave.IIRC it was 35euros for a 3 course adult meal,20 for the kids.

mumblechum · 21/04/2008 13:37

Ds and I went a couple of weeks ago and had a fab time. The one thing I'd say is FASTPASSS FASTPASS FASTPASS!!!!!!

It's dead easy, just stick the fastpass ticket in the machine and you waltz to the front of the queue. I couldn't work out why everyone didn't do it.

AlisonD1 · 21/04/2008 20:26

Thank you both of you. Booked the Cafe Mickey today and won't forget the fastpass thingy...

Sorry I didn't get back to this thread last night.Glad to hear you got Cafe Mickey booked.

The seller on ebay that I have used many times is called FANTASIA CRAFTS you will find hundreds of Disney scrapbooking stuff here and her prices are good too.another one I have used is CAYLEES CRAFTS.

I waited until I got back from Disney and had my photos developed to see which characters I had good photos of and then bought papers and bitty sizzix' of that character and did a double page layout for each character incorporating a photo of each of them with my dc's aswell as their autograph. You can also get some great Eiffel tower sizzix shapes and Paris flags, that kind of thing to make it more personal.Ooh I LOVE scrapbooking!!

Have a great time and feel free to ask if you have any more questions before you go. x
