Canary Islands - which resort?

I’m hoping to book a holiday for October half term ( 2 adults, 2 kids under 10) but am completely overwhelmed by the choice in the Canaries. Either self catering or AI.

Can anyone recommend towns or resorts they have been to. We like nice beaches, authentic restaurants, a few small shops, plus points for a harbour……the areas with Irish bars etc. aren’t of interest.

Gran castillo in playa blanca, lanzarote. It's very family oriented and a really nice hotel too.

It's about ten mins walk away from a lovely harbour with some lovely restaurants too, and it's on the beach as well.

Puerto Mogan Hotel is lovely, the resort is nice and there's a safe beach. They also have self catering apartments.

Radisson Blue Hotel Puerto Morgan Gran Canaria.Absolutely beautiful, mini Venice of the Canaries.
