Great holidays during UK summer

I want to branch out a bit from Europe but can only really do long haul travel during UK school summer holidays which is obviously winter in the southern hemisphere and I know not necessarily the best time to travel to places like South America, Japan.

So far on my list I have Canada specifically Vancouver Island and that area, any other advice/options. I’m really keen on having an adventure or two! TIA

Thanks. I’d love to go to South Africa or Tanzania but thought summer hols weren’t great for this. Would you recommend that time of year?

My friend went to Aruba in the summer holidays. She said it was really good. It's in the Caribbean but outside the hurricane belt so a bit of a longer flight.

it’s a good time to visit Bali and Lombok if you don’t mind long flights.

I came to say Bali too.

I’ve been to Thailand too- short rain shower each afternoon but we just carried on swimming!

Longer haul options with good weather in Jul/Aug:

East Africa so Tanzania, Kenya, Mozambique, Zanzibar.

Indonesia and east coast Malaysia - so eg Bali, Lombok, Borneo, mainland Malaysia & eastern islands

Central Vietnam is good at this time (Hue, Hoi An, Na Trang ) but the rest isn’t ideal

Sri Lanka is ok if you avoid the southwest

Canada, USA

Peru (maybe not the whole country but quite a lot of it), Ecuador, Bolivia

Iceland
