Revision in beautiful surroundings

I am looking for a holiday for around 5 nights in the October half term.

DC (11) will need to do a few hours of revision each day while we are there, but would like to have a change of scene the rest of the time, and possibly sport of some kind.

Thinking low key, so things to enjoy after study, but not too exciting like waterparks etc that will be make a battleground as they are desperate to go

Either in the UK, or short flight from Gatwick or Heathrow. Probably an apartment or cottage rather than busy hotel

One thought was Cornwall, with a bit of surfing maybe. Any suggestions welcome!

October half term is right at the end of the month, and actually goes into November. You’d have to be pretty hardcore and a strong swimmer for surfing then.
I’d recommend Les Ormes in Jersey. It's a self catering resort with a handful of onsite activities and things to do in the area.
