Help me find a flattering high waisted bikini please!

we’re going to Asia in November and I’d love a bikini top that’s not push up style and some high waisted but high leg bottoms if that’s possible, without the frump!
im a 10 bottom and 12 top, 5” ( if that matters) Lots of sales so hopeful but no luck yet so wanted to ask the hive mind!
just had a look on Cupshe but the tops are a bit ‘hello boys’ and the material is a lot of polyadamide/ spandex; I know there needs to be stretch but would be great to have something a bit less manmade or maybe from recycled stuff.
there was one such advertised on here but the colours were olive green or brown which def wouldn’t suit me - you probably know the one :)
any help gratefully appreciated!
TIA

I know and even tho it was in the sale it was still £58 I’ll never see again! Might try to make it into a tankini….

You have inspired me to buy new bottoms. And agreed re Boden. Still way too pricy. I always got on sale.have opted for a £10 pair from m and s.

I buy my bikinis from Bravissimo. They have lots of different styles.

You can end up paying up to £100 though so not cheap.

Isn't a bikini, by definition, low-waisted?

I liked that bikini, but it popped up so often it annoyed me, and anyway I thought I didn’t want a bikini. Now I do and that style and colour would suit me but it’s disappeared. Can you remember who made it?

Edited

I can’t I’m sorry but maybe try typing in ‘sustainable bikini/costume’ into Google - they were made from recycled materials too. Might help!

I thought it meant two peice - (‘bi-‘?)

Bravissimo have so much choice. The prints and colours are fabulous if that's what you like.

I always buy the bandeau style as I hate the tan lines if I'm wearing strappy dresses.

No, I don't think so, @Louyoga.

A two-piece is exactly what it says, and it can definitely come up to the waist, or higher. Maybe from the 1930s?

A bikini, named after the nuclear bomb explosion, was popularized in the 1940s, and was much lower cut on the bottom, showing the navel.

I just found this with great historical pictures of bathing suits:

NortheastYankee · 22/08/2024 02:48

Yeah, it's a reference to Bikini Atoll. The swimsuit was supposed to be "explosive" like the hydrogen bomb

NortheastYankee · 22/08/2024 02:49

I think that first one was also what would today be called "cheeky" - it was brief in the back
