October half term ideas with an 11 year old

Hi

I am hoping you can offer me some advice about the October half term break and ideas where to go with an 11 year old DD and husband.

I really want to get something in the diary for my Dd to look forward too, she starts high school this time and is anxious about it so having something in the diary for her to look forward too would be ideal.

We were thinking of a short break rather than a full week away just so she also has time at home.

Depends on lots of things! Budget, distance, mode of transport, duration...

We've done abroad holidays already this year so have booked center parcs with our kids for half term.
