Has anyone been to the La Capricieuse site? If so, what was it like and was it an easy drive from Calais? Did the cabins have air con? Planning on going with a 3 and 5 year old. Also looking to book on the website and am slightly worried as i'll probably book through a debit card to avoid spending extra on conversion costs through a credit card.

Use a credit card rather than a debit one when booking travel arrangements as you get more legal protections. Using a debit card gives you no such protections in the event things go wrong.

Yes we’ve been there, it’s a good site. No air con though. Drive from Calais straightforward. I’d never use a debit card for that amount given the protection a credit card gives you - also don’t forget travel insurance!

Thanks! The most recent review is from May and looks good. @shockeditellyou thanks! I'd never use a debit card either but most credit cards have a 2.99% transaction fee which works out to £50 which is annoying. We do have travel insurance though!
