2 weeks in Europe in March

I’ve had some really helpful advice from this holiday page before so hoping you could help again, please!

in March 2025 we have a 2 week holiday and I’m drawing a blank planning something. We’d like to drive on the holiday and take our bikes for enjoying time with our 2y. I know the weather might not be great depending where we go. As it’s 2 weeks we could go relatively far afield since we can break the trip up with short breaks off and onto the ferry/tunnel.

so many holiday parks are closed in France as it’s not the season. I don’t know where to begin looking for accommodation that’s not a center parcs type place. It’d be great to have an indoor pool.

I know we could do the Netherlands but have done before, was wondering if there was anywhere else anyone could suggest.

while we still have a toddler we prefer to stay somewhere we he can go to bed and we can chill out separately. A hotel room is fine for a night or two but it’s nice to feel like we have more space to enjoy the evening in a home type setting

if it helps to know budget, I’d say I’d be happy to pay 1.5k a week for accommodation and don’t really have a budget for spends either side

Landal Sonnenberg is a lovely park in Germany (about 5 hours from Calais) with indoor pool and soft play. We’ve been in the spring and it’s a gorgeous area. The cycling is good too. If your stay overlaps with the second half of March, then I definitely suggest a trip to Freizeitpark Cochem.
