Singapore flight price

Planning well ahead to July 2025. Have found flights for £586 pp. from a UK airport to Singapore with reasonable transfer times. Is this as good as I can hope to get? I had heard that the best time to buy flights is 3 months before, but not sure if this is true? Part of me wants to hold out but also thinking prices may skyrocket from what seems like a pretty decent fare at the moment…. So the question is, are they likely to drop further, or should I go ahead and book?

Ticket prices are actually cheaper closer to time. I fly to Asia every two years and I used to do the whole year ahead purchase but found I was taking myself for a ride when prices dropped between the five month to three month mark ahead of the travel time

That sounds like a good deal to me OP. Which airline is that with? You mention transfer times - I assume it’s not direct flights?

LightFull · 03/08/2024 14:18

That's a good price OP I'd take it

Lufthansa. UK airport-Frankfurt-Singapore.

I am tempted to wait until a few months before but are they really going to get cheaper than £586? 🤔 🤷‍♀️

I think that's a good price.

Realistically how much cheaper might they get vs how much more expensive could they get? Would you kick yourself more if they went up by £100 each or down by £50 each. That price does seem very competitive.

It’s a good price.

Whether the ticket price will drift up or down from the current amount if you wait a few months is an it depends and varies with airline, route and most obviously demand.

If your happy with price I'd just book them, I've had flights booked for November since February, they're currently more expensive and supposedly in the sale currently.

Thank you all for your advice!

That is a great price.

If that's a figure you can afford in your head I'd book them. How much are they if you booked now to go say in a month? That might give you an idea but realistically you'll feel better if they are booked at a reasonable price like that

Pandaandpurple · 04/08/2024 01:09

I’d go for it now, OP. I’ve flown long haul
with Lufthansa and it’s been a good experience. As long as you’re happy with the transfer times I’d snap that price up.
