Ardeche 'posh' camping with teens

Can anyone recommend a really nice campsite in the Ardeche? My older teens will be coming with other friends so ideally need a decent pool, even better if it has some slides! However, I think our main priority is to be near a lake and or river for canoeing.

We aren't super touristy people and love to try out our French so don't need anything with Eurocamp reps etc. I do love a posh caravan/static home though!

Thanks for any recommendations

I'd start with Eurocamp / Yelloh! sites as they tend to have a presence on the best sites then just book direct. We're currently in a very nice air conditioned lodge in a super Yelloh Village - Eurocamp have some caravans etc but we booked the lodge directly

Or literally use Google Maps to find lakes etc in the area then see what campsites look like they're in good locations.

Huttopia sud ardeche

The pool doesn't have slides but you are nearby kayaking. We did one where we were picked up by coach from the site and returned later. Spectacular scenery.

We’ve done this holiday and is up there as one of our best, sadly can’t remember the name of the campsite , but we were on the edge of the Ardeche with river access, but not to kayaking, if you want to Kayak the Ardeche, we did it in 2 parts, and they provide transport to start and finish points. We also did the canyoning which was out of my comfort zone but exhilarating. Our site had a great pool, no slides, sports facilities etc, if I can think of the name I’ll be back.

Mondial or Camping Ardechois (next door to each other, direct river and kayaking access) and walking distance of Vallon

Not been to the Ardeche with them but would recommend Sandaya for nice accommodation - a massive step up from Eurocamp caravans.

CA is my favourite French campsite of all time. No slides and smallish pool but literally right ON the river!

We went to Le Ranc Davaine last year and it was the best holiday we've ever had!
On a river you can swim in, plus a very new pool complex with slides. The pool was really nicely done, lots of private corners and little rocky pools. Felt quite 'posh' for a campsite.
You can book canoeing at the site - we did a 10km route down the Ardeche and through the pont D'Arc, it was wonderful we all loved it.
Also there are rock climbing courses nearby (via ferrata) with ziplining.
My two kids loved it. The site is lovely, lots of trees.

This is what I do for all my holiday planning 😆. I spent ages yesterday on Google maps but because I’m planning a holiday for a few families I feel really responsible for choosing a great place so trying to get some good recommendations

Thanks so much everyone. I found l’Ardechois and contacted them yesterday but the others I hadn’t seen so going to take a look now.

We stayed at La Ranchisses which was lovely but not near the river.

Another vote for Sandaya
