Last min UK luxury break

Hi all, we’re looking for a last minute-ish (mid August) 1 week UK break with a 4yo, 6yo and baby. Baby is very ill so we’re cancelling our planned European resort and want something luxury (let’s assume money is no object for this brief!) and drivable from London with activities for the children. Any suggestions?

Hotel or self catering?
three mile beach in Cornwall is nice

The Ickworth Hotel? Not sure about it for a full week though.

If you were further north, I would suggest Crieff Hydro.

At this short notice, you'd be better googling 'luxury cottages' etc and seeing what they have free in your location.

Thanks for the ideas - I think probably self catering, having looked briefly at hotels. We had a lovely stay at that Four Seasons a few years ago.

I did also think about Centerparcs, very easy and child friendly, but actually not sure we can book anything yet as working out plan for the baby.
