Do last minute deals still exist?

Adult DD and I would like to abroad for 5 nights, specific dates in July before the state schools break up.

Back in the day, I’d go into the high street travel agent a few days before and see what they had to offer.
Does that type of option still exist?

I’m looking on line now but I’m not seeing anything that looks really good value; perhaps I’m expecting too much.

Look at the various holiday company websites. There will be deals on there.

Weve done it the past two years.

They do but not in the way they used to. It used to be that it all got cheaper the nearer you were to departure. What I find now is that prices don't fall and there is less choice, especially this year due to the crap weather. If you are not fixed on a particular hotel or resort you will find something. Look on Jet2 and Tui websites.
