Where shall we go?

I have the opportunity to take adolescent dd away for a few days in the second half of July. Previously we have enjoyed Paris, Amsterdam and Copenhagen. We like food and history more than culture and shopping, though we like all of them.

Budget would be sharing a twin room in a budget hotel central to wherever we go.

Any suggestions?

If you’re open-minded about food, and don’t want it to be too hot, I’d look at Tallinn, Riga and/or Vilnius - very good food and lots of history. Or Stockholm - that’s a great place for a few days.
