New York - last time?

I love New York. I am 63. I have been several times with OH, friends and solo. I am currently in a cafe, Alicia Keys' New York just came on and I got quite choked up at the thought of never seeing it again. Am I too old for one last solo trip? I can afford it and am in reasonable health.

Of course you aren’t too old! NYC doesn’t come with an upper age limit.

Book it today and gave a wonderful time planning your trip.

Why do you think you are too old? Do you have health or mobility issues?

I am inspired by the older generation in my family who are still doing lots of travelling well into their 80s

My dad was there recently and he will be 90 next month. Book it up and have a fab time.

Umm. Last time I checked New York allowed over 60s in. What is your worry exactly?

It can be a bit of a frantic city but plenty of older people actually live in New York and seem fine.

This is nuts! Why would you let your age dictate your decisions like this?

heldinadream · 28/06/2024 09:07

I'll come with you! I'm 69 tho... 😂
Course you should go! Have a monumental time and post some pics to encourage me to go too OP! 😉

TizerorFizz · 28/06/2024 09:19

It’s not an age thing but there are other great places to see! Are you missing out on them?

jeaux90 · 29/06/2024 11:02

Go

sunshinechaser · 29/06/2024 11:05

What? My parents in law go to LA every year and they are 82! You are no age at all! Get going now.

OneHandInPocket · 29/06/2024 11:13

We went again at Easter, after a gap of a few years. There were plenty of singleton older women out and about, and women eating alone in restaurants was definitely a thing. If you want to go again and have no other issues that may be preventing you from travelling, then you go girl!

I don't know why I asked really Grin Thank you all for giving my head a wobble.

I hope the over 60s are allowed.
I am going on Wednesday with our 23 year old DD for the first time

Just be prepared that NY is now hugely expensive.
