Hi all,

Was wondering if anyone has stayed in Chayofa (Los Cristianos) Tenerife, if so, what is the area like and is it family friendly?

We are looking at the regency country club!

Thanks!

I stayed here one with friends on a girl holiday so I can't comment specifically for families however I did think it was just the most lovely place and keen to go back with my kids one day!

Hi
I have stayed at the Regency country club a number of times.

Chayofa is a residential area which has 3 or 4 restaurants in walking distance if you are ok with steep hills. It's a good 20 minute drive down to the coast and beach resorts so you will either need to hire a car, use taxis or take the bus to reach Costa Adeje or the other resorts. There used to be a courtesy bus a few times a day, but I believe that has been stopped now.

We stayed quite a bit when DS was younger and really enjoyed it because of the lovely pool, pool bar and various minor entertainment. We went once in 2021 and haven't been back, but it seemed they used Covid to cut a lot of things, the pool bar shut at 5, no cleaning was done around the pool after that time, the pool itself was not warm, the gym was frankly a disgrace.

I have read some recent reviews of the Regency and sadly it sounds like it has gone downhill. I would check out tripadvisor before you book.
