Nashville hotel recommendations?

For a couple, we'll have a car but hoping to be central so we can go out in the evenings. Any recommendations? Budget is ideally no more than £175 a night.

Were there in 2019. We stayed in the Russell. Not central but free parking and 10 minute uber to centre. Theres some .bars and stuff nearby too for meals.

It was beautiful. An old converted church and just stunning architecture.

Thank you, how many nights did you stay?

A lot of downtown hotels don't have parking or they only have valet which will be around $50 per night, if you're happy to pay that then the Hilton is right in the centre with lots of easily walkable attractions.
It might be easier to stay in the Vanderbilt area which is a longer walk but much easier to drive around, there is a large Marriott there with parking, the Graduate Hotel is also really fun but probably over budget.
It might also be easier to spend a couple of days downtown then pick up a rental car and stay further out for exploring further afield?
Wherever you stay, don't use any of the parking lots scattered around downtown, they are notorious for issuing illegal fines and towing for no reason! I only use the multistory car parks when going in.

It was a few years ago now but I stayed 1 night near the Grand Ole Opry (think it was a Best Western?) & then 2 nights in the SoBro Guest House at 310 Peabody St. Location was fantastic and had free parking. The room had a washer/dryer & mini kitchen. Also had a record player in the living area and a selection of vinyls to play. Right around the corner from an amazing BBQ place called Martins.

I do remember spending quite a bit of time looking for affordable hotels in Nashville but everything was so expensive.
