RIU plaza

Hi has anyone stayed in either of the RIU plaza in New York. One is RIU plaza New York Times Square and the other RIU plaza mahattan Times Square. If so which would you recommend or not for 2 adults and 2 teens please

Are you sure these are different places? Manhattan is New York City's main borough and Times Square is a neighbourhood in Manhattan.

We stayed at the Manhattan Times Square one three years ago (but the taxi driver took us to the other one by mistake - it is a bit confusing 😂😂😂).

It was a decent place to stay and the room configuration meant that the kids could have their own beds (Deluxe Family Twin) which was a huge bonus. Reasonable price for the location too.

It’s a massive hotel though and there’s not enough lifts. You could be waiting easily 10 mins to get one. Getting the stairs wasn’t an option from the 20 something floor with suitcases. The corridors also felt rather functional and not luxurious but I was happy with the room and location.

It worked well for running around all the sights but be aware the smell of weed is worst in Times Square - and you’re basically right on top of it.
