HELP - Ideas for San Fran Day Trip

My lovely boyfriend has booked us a trip - 3 nights NY, 3 San Fran and 3 Vegas in a few weeks time. He has planned mostly everything and I cannot wait but I wanted to plan a wee day when in SF. We are already doing Alcatraz, love bug tour, baker beach and other things he has arranged. I was looking to maybe hire a car (or uber) though and go to Half Moon Bay or something like that for the day. Just something to get out of the city. We are both into beaches, sun rise, sun set and I thought we could stop at a beach have a nice lunch with a view.

Any ideas would be SO appreciated! I'm more a boho girl and have been to SF before so want to do something a bit different for the day that gets us out of the city. Nothing too ambitious but something to add a bit of dimension to our trip.

Haight-Ashbury was top of my ‘must do’ list and didn’t disappoint.

Hire bikes at Fisherman's wharf, cycle up to the Golden Gate Park, and then across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito. Then get the ferry back across the bay to Fisherman's wharf to hand the bikes back

We did the bikes to Sausalito and then to Tiburon - loved it. Got the ferry back to SF from Tiburon. Our favourite day.
