Somewhere to go after Rome

I'm travelling to Rome later in the summer and I'm keen to spend a bit of time in the countryside after ten days in the city. Could anyone recommend a town or village 60 to 90 minutes drive from Rome? Ideally I'd like to stay somewhere rural or semi rural, within a short drive or walk into a town with a nice piazza, cafe/ restaurant and with some nice views - although if you've got a better idea I'd gladly hear it!

I'm not too bothered about beach, but if it's a coastal town that wouldn't put me off. Not too worried about there being lots of other tourists or not.
Thank you!

Bolsena, Tivoli or Trevignano Romano

Abruzzo has stunning rugged mountain scenery. L'Aquilla is more of a small walled city and just over 90 mins from Rome. Lots of countryside around.

i came here to suggest Bolsena as well! There are loads of beautiful hill top towns and villages in the area, but we loved staying on the banks of Lake Bolsena and walking round to the town itself. We stayed in a fairly no frills campsite (Lido), but it was in a fab location. We booked through Eurocamp.
