Mauritius east coast - May

Hi All,

I am going to Mauritius for the May half term and am staying on the East Coast.

Does anyone have any experience of weather at that time of year and on that side of the island?

I’ve heard mixed things and so I’m not sure if I should be packing cardigans and long trousers for the evening or if summer dresses will be enough.

Do evenings get cold/windy?

Would appreciate any guidence you may have.

Not been in May but went in August (BBC forecast was 100% inaccurate) on the east and west coasts and it stayed fairly warm all day - I mainly wore dresses and didn't need cardigans apart from the aeroplane but maybe take the odd one or two. Think coldest it got was about 20C in the evenings so whatever you would wear in that sort of temperature. In the day it was hot and a lot of time is in the pool / in the sea.
