Clever people of early booking world! This is all new to me. Is it true when they release the flights if you get in early you get them cheaper? I am looking to book flights to Tenerife for next Feb half term. Any top tips?

Yep, that’s true flights will be cheaper when they are first released. Usually the word is out when they are going to be released, be quick as lots of customers booking also increases the airfare.

Absolutely correct. London to Tenerife with Ryanair already out for Feb 2025 😊

@No1HolidayPlanner
I can only see up until December?

@No1HolidayPlanner
Ah I can see up until the first two weeks of Feb. Do they release it week by week?

On the Ryanair app you can book up to end of March 2025

EJ tend to release later than RA. Keep checking, TripAdvisor forums often seem to know when release dates are.

We booked EJ to Palma for May half term on the day they were released last year and they didn't seem any cheaper than when we'd booked a lot later the previous year. I know they're supposed to be, but I cynically felt it was just a ploy to get people to part with their money.

I always believed that they are cheaper on release day but the flights I booked in September 2023 for July 2024 to Antalya are still the same price !

TizerorFizz · 19/02/2024 20:32

@BlueShed Prices go up
and down. You might find they are even higher if you wait now! A year of inflation makes a huge difference and it’s cumulative.

^ This.

Booking early is usually cheaper but if there's lack of demand on a flight you sometimes see prices dip after the initial opening of sales, then possibly climb again as the airline tries to make money out of late bookers....
