Can any recommend any beach front places in either of these locations? Someone has mentioned Budva in Montenegro, corsica, i have no ideas.

End of May for 3/4 days.

Even better for hotel/apartment recommendations! Thanks

I can fully recommend this hotel in Montenegro - on the beach and close to some lovely restaurants and small coves.

Lazure Hotel, Montenegro

These beaches are Caribbean quality. Can't recommend an apartment as we stayed in Porto Vecchio a short drive away. Bonifacio is worth a visit for the old town and lunch.

We love Calvi in Corsica. Fabulous beach, citadel and great restaurants. Not cheap though.

Went twice to Kotor in Montenegro ~ stunning citadel town but on a fjord so no beach. Porto Montenegro is an amazing yacht harbour. Drove through some beach resorts and thought they looked a bit sketchy.

Budva is about the biggest resort in Montenegro, but not the most scenic. It has an old town (rebuilt after an earthquake), marina and lots of bars and restaurants. Some friends went to Petrovac and that was a lot prettier. We spent a week in Kotor which has no beach but we really liked it.

Thank you all. We'd like to beachfront to wherever we visit to go for a morning dip in the sea, maybe hire a moped and see a few sights and eat really. Am saving all your recommendations, thank you all.

@4Bangles I recommend hiring a car to do some day trips if you wanted. To Perast, Kotor or the to mountains and lakes.

We didn't like Budva, much preferred Kotor. We stayed in these apartments - sunshine-of-montenegro-apartments.montenegrohotel24.com/en/ and would highly recommend them.

jolies1 · 12/02/2024 22:29

Kotor and Tivat were lovely but we found Budva a bit rough.

The beaches in south-east Corsica between Porto-Vecchio and Bonifacio are breathtakingly beautiful… beyond anything we’ve ever found in Europe. So much so that my husband and I have come to the conclusion whilst planning this year’s holiday that Corsican beaches have effectively ruined all other beaches for us 😂 as wherever we choose won’t have the same wow factor and beauty!

Accommodation is tricky on Corsica though,
it’s fairly basic unless you fork out many £K for something special. The compromise you make for the beauty I suppose!

I cant believe how beautiful the beaches in Corsica sound and look!

Ok, budva = bad reviews now! Kotor higher on the list!
