Dubai rainy day

Hi, we’re off to Dubai this Feb half term with DC aged 9 and 11 and on one of the days, it will be raining most of the day :( We’re staying at the Waldorf hotel on The Palm. Any suggestions for good things to do in a rainy day? I’m thinking Dubai Mall but any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Also, silly question but is the Atlantis Waterpark all outdoors or is some of it indoors? Can it be enjoyed on a rainy day?

Thanks!

The Dubai Mall would be a good shout on a wet day and its also got a huge aquarium and underwater zoo.

From memory the Atlantis Waterpark is all outdoors based. They would probably delay opening of the park on wet days.

Green planet would be nice for kids. There's also an escape room nearby called no way out, if you guys would be into that (there are kid friendly rooms). Museum of the future is also something different.

Also to add, if you go to dubai mall definitely check out the vr park.

Thanks idontlikealdi but I don’t think it’s the kids thing but good to know!

I was in Dubai in November with two rainy days. Rain didn't seem that bad but numerous places closed due to flooding and a lot of the roads had severe flooding so it was slow going for all the traffic - like a 4 lane road all attempting to merge onto the shoulder to get around the sitting water.
