duck tours or transport museum?

I am thinking of taking my two children aged 7 (a boy) and 4(a girl) to London for the day. Which of the above is the best - duck tour or London Transport Museum. Does anyone have any opinions?

depends on the weather - I've heard you get a bit cold on the duck tour!

Where is the London Transport Museum now? I was in Covent Garden the other weekend, and it appeared to be closed.

I don't understand why anyone would go to the Transport Museum tbh .. not when there's so many free and fairly wonderful places

I'm rather tempted by the duck tours have promised to take my 2 (same ages and genders) on one (but will wait for the summer I think)

We enjoyed the British Museum, the basement in the Science Museum is fab, South Bank can be interesting .. up and down the riverbank is great .. possibly take a boat ride to greenwich and mooch around there

The duck tours are great - despite being londoners, we were bought tickets for DH's birthday last year and it was great fun.

Haven't been to the transport museum so can't compare though !

Transport Museum is in Covent Garden and reopened last November.

it's open (the transport museum...in the corner of the market bit in Cov Gdn). I haven't been to it since it reopened though, keep meaning to.

I'd do the duck tour. If you want to do the transport museum afterwards, you could though I have heard it's good for younger children (i.e. your dd's age) but as I said, haven't been myself.

Also, don't forget the Tate Modern - that's great fun.

went to trans museum with dd 3.8 and friends son 2.2, they loved it, very interactive, didnt expect them to like it as much as they did. kids free adults £8, great cafe.

Go for the Duck Tour - we went last October half term as part of 3 days in London (we live nearby)which I did in lieu of our usual few days in a hotel with the kids as DH had no holiday left... Anyway I digress. Of all the things we did in London this was the best value and the best fun. We followed up with lunch at the RAinforest CAfe which was neither value nor fun (for me anyway!!) Would agree with previous comment that there are so many free things to do that I wouldn't bother paying for entry anywhere else! HAve fun whatever you decide on.
