Villa month rental

Hi, l we are looking to hire a villa for the month of August and I have absolutely no idea where to start. Hoping someone has done this before and has some recommendations please? we’ve always done a 1 week family holiday in a resort.

We have children who at the time will be age 15 (likely bring a friend for 1 week), 3 (almost 4) and just 2. So 3 bedrooms needed.

The key things for us are that it’s safe for the littlest without me constantly holding her hand (everything in Greece looks like a death trap for a 2 year old!), other kids are around to play with at pool/play area, able to walk or short taxi to shops and restaurants, own kitchen, luxury holiday feel. We’ll be working from there so nothing too remote re wifi etc.

Could anyone recommend any locations, websites to explore, their own experiences etc? Any help greatly appreciated. Google is blowing my mind with the variety of options and nothing so far that ticks the boxes.

Thank you so much

Communal pool.. but no bar on site. Plus toddler pool. Life guard always on.
Quiet pool area..
Shops/ restaurants across road.. in small complex including a Spar.
Bus stop across road which will take anywhere.
Ferry Port ( big and new) to Feuterventura.
Beach and big water park 15 mins walk away.
Main town another 15 walks away.
But this complex has privately owned bungalows from 1 to 4 bedrooms.
Free WiFi ( very good)
Book flights seperate.
Good health centre with English doctor back of bus st if you need it.
Other end a beautiful marina with restaurants. Feed the fish.
Big market on Weds n Sat.
Front and prescints with shops restaurants etc.
But it's a stunning quiet resort.
Never rowdy.. just enough.

P.S be careful .. the Greek islands etc are in the Mediterranean and will reach 40 degrees in August.. 30 was too hot for us in Corfu and that was September at night.
Lanzarote is in the Atlantic so has a wonderful breeze. And average 22 to 28 in August

Agree with above. I wouldn’t go to Greece in August. The heat is unbearable. Following your thread because I’m looking for similar.

Great point, thank you. Definitely want to avoid heat like that!

You might like port de pollensa. The heat is about right in july and August and it’s very family friendly. Nice beach, shops snd restaurants. We’ve been five times. Haven’t stayed in villas but I know there are lots around

As suggested above, I would also recommend Majorca. Lots of lovely villas, great beaches for children and really nice people. Pollensa is a good shout, or Alcudia, Sa Coma, Cala Millor or Cala Bona. All perfect for families.

I would pick Majorca too- some nice villas round the Portals Nous are or Paguera which gives you the bonus of popping into Palma frequently- which I would want if I was somewhere a month

If that doesn't bother you and you just want sun, beach and house then as others said Pollensa area is ideal , as is Cala d'or
