Has anyone been recently? If so, what currency is best to take?

Thank you.

The Rupiah is the currency for Indonesia. I'm not sure about Singapore - Singaporean dollars?

emmatomATO · 08/03/2008 14:58

Thanks sue - it's just i had some conflicting advice on whether to use us dollars which are apparently accepted there.

I was hoping someone had been recently.

We used Singapore dollars on our visit to Singapore last August.

stuffitllama · 08/03/2008 17:47

Sing dollars.

mrsmalumbas · 08/03/2008 17:52

For cash take sing dollars and some rupiah for bali, but be aware that in Indonesia generally many things like hotels, restaurants etc where you are paying by credit card will charge you in US dollars.

ShinyDysonHereICome · 08/03/2008 17:54

You generally get a better rate changing money there in my experience

Thanks for the replies. We're all inclusive in Bali so won't need to pay hotel bills etc. so it looks like local currency will be fine.
